Pedro's art research is centered in exploring bridges between Landscape and Dance. After a degree in Landscape Architecture in Lisbon and Helsinki and his dance training in Dundee, Prague and Berlin, he now finished the MA program ex.e.r.ce at the National Choreographic Centre of Montpellier. In his research he developed a practice of relational perception between the elements of the space based on vibration, the ethereal, rhythm and touch.
The Dance field and the Landscape field are constantly merged on his personal approach to his work, developed as as performer, choreographer and landscaper. He has produced his own performances and collaborative work, presented in international theatres, festivals, art galleries, urban and rural landscapes and other non conventional venues.
As collaborator in the interpretation and/or creation of performances Pedro has worked with renown choreographers, visual and sound artists in Berlin, Prague, Montpellier, Lisbon and Barcelona.
As teacher, he started to teach Landscape perception through somatic technique to architecture students in Prague Technical University. After he continued this work in Berlin with Landscapes in Motion - laboratories where he shares is research exploring his practice among others. The laboratories were brought to dance festivals, dance schools and dance studios in Montevideo, Montpellier, Barcelona and Lisbon. He is the co-founder of Homeless Kingdom – creative platform, producing synergic projects between landscape, dance and photography and the Designed For Touch project exploring different concepts of touch and its place in the nowadays. Pedro is also involved in different projects as dramaturge.
